Where the Wild Things Are Opening Scene?
I watched the movie last night, and the first scene where max wrestles a dog and plays in the snow… there seemed to be a lot of rapid jump cuts, unaligned and unfaithful sound… was this just at the theatre I saw it at, ie a mistake of the projectionist, or is the movie really like that?

I thought the opening scene was amazing and it was really cool, so its probably just you, or your imagination.

Plot: Roman slave Lurkio inadvertently becomes the possessor of a scroll naming the proposed assassins of the Emperor Nero. Administering to the participants of his master’s orgy guests seems small compared to the trouble the scroll brings - but all are in for a nasty shock when Mount Vesuvius decides to erupt.

Safe places to stay in the Bay of Naples?
Myself and three friends are visiting Italy for our university study tour, and with this we will be visiting Naples to visit the museum of archaeology and pompeii. we are stopping for two nights in naples and will be getting to the area by train.
I was just wondering, what would be the best area to look for accomodation that will be cheap, yet clean and safe?

You might consider staying in Sorrento. You can check hotels for your specific dates here: http://www.venere.com/hotels/italy/ Prices can vary a lot here depending on exactly when you stay. Sorrento is very convenient for Pompeii - the ruins are at the Pompei - Scavi Villa Misteri stop on the Circumvesuviana train between Naples and Sorrento. http://www.vesuviana.it/web/en The ride is about 29 minutes and costs 1.90 euro. The entrance to the ruins is right across the street. From Sorrento to Naples Garibaldi (Napoli Centrale) station is 1 hr 5 min for 3.30 euro.

You could also stay in Naples. The Best Western Plaza is a good tradeoff between cost and convenience usually. http://www.venere.com/best-western/naple s/hotel-plaza/ You can pick a part of the city and then sort by price or rating by past guests to find other options.

I suggest that you can go to sorrento or massa lubrense they don’t write massa lubrense on the maps but it is more beutiful than sorrento but sorrento is also very beautiful.Yuo can see pompei villa dei misteri and naples.naples is wonderful and there are a lot of thinghs you can see .when yuo arrived there you can buy a city maps and on it there are all the most beautiful place in naples.if yuo can to sorrento you can take the "circumvesuviana"that ticket costs 1 about one euro and in 1 hour you arrive in sorrento good trip bye

Naples is not a good place, as we Know it’ s a dirty town, the munneza city LOL, and it’ s not safe, it’s surrounded by volcanos and the economy is controlled by Italian Mafia, not the same of Sicily.

You could go to Sorrento but generally Naples is filled with mafioso and pick- pockets.

i would go to this little town called Vico Equense. its so pretty, walking distance to the beach, train and alot of restaurants! it has this very nice pizzeria called City Pizza. a nice hotel around there is called Hotel Sporting. Very pretty sight, and close to Sorrento, and Naples. It’s safe too. it’s a town where everybody knows everybody else.

Bless the Beasts & Children
Bless the Beasts & Children (1971)

IMDB rating: 6.40

Plot: A group of adolescent boys, placed in a summer camp by their otherwise too busy parents, find themselves unable to fit in and are soon branded as bedwetters by their fellow campers and unsympathetic counselor. After their counselor exposes them to what they perceive as a cruel slaughter of corralled bison, these misfits are soon drawn to a common purpose to break free of their camp and free the bison. On their way to free the bison, individual flashbacks reveal the relationships each has with his own family and give insight to their reasons behind wanting to set the bison free. Karen and Richard Carpenter’s singing of the title song occurs now and again throughout the movie to underscore the the drama.

Bless the Beasts and Children book report?
Tell me what you think of my summary. Note: I couldn’t include a lot of the details because we were allowed 100-150 words, I’m already over the limit. Suggestions, comments, anything would be great.
Thanks.
Bless the Beasts and Children is about six boys who were ending their summer at Box Canyon Boys Camp where the counselors often said they could turn any nail-biting bedwetting sissy into real man, a cowboy. These six boys were the definition of what their counselor called

Skittish cat………….?
How does one help a cat that’s really skittish? Gets a fright for everything (but gets chased by a sibling cat too?)

Try keep the cat chasing the skittish on from chasing the skittish cat. And don’t make loud banging noises…But serious, I enjoy making loud banging noises and playfully chasing cats so I’m a bad person to ask.

well convert it show it that you are there to save it from anything that is going to happen to it and it will be fine even force the cat to come to you and then show her or him that you there for it :-) Rebecca B | Nov 20, 2009

i have a cat that gets scared a lot. He hides when company comes over. He just turned 6 and is just now starting to come out a bit when people come over. not sure why he was ever that scared or why he starting to get better, I would just say to give it time and try to keep the other cat away from it as much as you can.

Some times it’s part of their personality. Some cats are very laid back, while others are nervous. Some cats like to be held, others hate it.

The best thing you can do is accept him the way he is. Don’t ignore him, but don’t pamper him either. If you insist on forcing the cat to come to you, all you will do is make matters worse and cause him to think he was right in being afraid of you.

there’s nothing you can do about it, unfortunately. we’ve had my cat oliver for 9 years, and he’s still skittish, and belle, our 10 year old cat, still chases him around.

It could just be from it’s lineage. I know russian blues are really skitzy, and oliver is mostly russian blue.

I have an extremely skittish cat, Queenie. She is very shy, nervous and also gets scared by anything. I believe that it is her personality that causes her to be this way. She is also tiny, looks like a kitten but is 3 yrs old, so it may be that her size makes her feel insecure. Our other cat Jazz is a purebred Russian Blue (love those Russian Blues!!!) and he is kind of skittish. Only somewhat. He’s friendly with strangers but cautious. Loud noises make him run. Our other cat Button is totally relaxed. I believe it’s because he’s the alpha cat. Multiple cat household have hierarchies. I recommend the book Cat vs. cat, it’s got a lot of good insight.
Try using Feliway spray or diffuser. It may help calm your cat.
